What it is

SilentShare moves files, code snippets, text and images directly between devices over WebRTC — phone to laptop, or across the internet. No accounts, no uploads to a server, nothing stored anywhere. Your data only exists while the tabs are open.

How to use it

1. Create a room — you get a random IP-style code like 168.98.8.9.
2. Share it — copy the code, show the QR, or send the invite link.
3. Others Join by pasting the code or 📷 scanning the QR.
4. Drop files, paste code or text — everyone in the room gets it instantly.

How it works

Connections are peer-to-peer via WebRTC, brokered by PeerJS for signaling and Google's free STUN servers for NAT traversal. Up to ~5 people mesh together per room. The room code maps to a peer ID so everyone finds each other.

Privacy

Transfers go device-to-device and stay in memory only. With a password, files and messages are also end-to-end encrypted — even the signaling server can't read them.
